TMJ Pain Exercises
The temporomandibular joints’ (TMJ) responsibilities include opening, closing and moving the jaw. Since they are involved in everything from chewing to talking, they are a common source of pain in many people.
If you experience TMJ pain, try some of these exercises below:
Strengthening: Place your thumb under your chin. Open your mouth against the force of your thumb and hold for 10-15 seconds.
Stretching: Slowly open your mouth as wide as it will open comfortably. Hold for 10 seconds and close. Open again and glide your lower jaw back and forth 5-10 times.
